it was amazing
bookshelves: read-in-2010

Marvelous. Devastating. Horrifying.

A finely written description of how easily society swings from acceptance to hatred, and the role of guilt in triggering brutal actions.

Ostensibly about post-World War II Europe, but unfortunately applicable to similar events these days.

Not for the faint of heart or the depressed.
