really liked it
bookshelves: horror, new-in-2015, 2015, manga

Enjoyable layered story of humans and ghouls, and the one kid who ends up halfway in between. The horror side of the story is well served by the manga style. Characters are more layered and complex than I'd expect in a first volume, and there's enough here to make me check out future volumes. I especially liked the friendship with Hide.

Manga's not a form that often works for me, but I enjoyed Tokyo Ghoul.
