Given that I'm very fond of languages & of neologisms & somewhat fond of letterpress & generally interested in Naropa-related history, liking this bk was a 'no-brainer' for me. I was particularly pleased to leanr that the name of the press under discussion, "Kavyayantra" is a neologism created in Sanskrit meaning "Poetry Machine"! Indeed, given that I'm about to have something published by Kavyayantra thanks to a chapbk series that Amy Cantazano invited me into, I was moved to use Sanskrit words as a major part of my piece for this series. My only 'complaint', & the reason why this gets a 3 star rating instead of a higher one, is that it is, indeed, as the title says: "A Brief History". I'd like to read a thorough history - or a compendium of everything published by Kavyayantra. But, then, that's just me.
