it was amazing
bookshelves: own, own-read
Read from March 19 to 20, 2015

I really enjoyed reading this one. Fun and fast read, and I also loved reading about how it all started. And even though I noticed a lot of connections with Christianity, I didn't pay a lot of attention to it. I just enjoyed the story in general.

I think this is probably my favorite, right after Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe.

Desiree In which order did you read the books?

Mario I didn't really follow any order.
I read
-Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe
-Prince Caspian
-Horse and his boy
-The Magician's Nephew

I have yet to read three of them, and I'm planning too. Hopefully soon :)

Desiree Why? Are they like the dan Brown books? Series but stand alones?

Mario They're connected, but each book has it's own story. If I were to choose an order to read them, I think I would pick by publication, and that is:
-The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
-Prince Caspian
-The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
-The Silver Chair
-The Horse and His Boy
-The Magician's Nephew
-The Last Battle

I think that would be most fun and interesting way to get into the story :)

Desiree I agree with you. So that results in my box set with a strange order of books because harper collins has nummerde them in chronological order but I prefer to read them in publication order. Haven't read them yet, but I am planning to.

Mario I think C.S. Lewis said that he wanted his books to be read chronologically, but I just prefer to read books in order they were published. Not just with Narnia, but with every series.

Maddee This is one of my favorites by him as well. This one is very informational for Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe.

Desiree Why? I believe it when I see something Lewis wrote himself. I don't believe Wikipedia.

Yeah, it was really good to know how Jadis' backstory (she is one of my favorite characters, especially Jadis from the movies :D ) and how the Wardrobe was created :)

I have no idea. But I guess it doesn't matter in which order you read them in, you'll enjoy then either way :)
