Well-written and fast paced. Unfortunately the book is advertised as a definitive campaign history, which it most certainly is not. Hastings served as an embedded reporter during the operations. As such, the story is entirely from the UK point of view.

It was also written a year after the conflict and has not been updated.

A good introductory text, but you'll need to do a lot more reading to completely understand this fight.
