it was amazing

This is the second book in the Patrick Bowers file and it is as entertaining as the first--The Pawn. This time Bowers and his independent minded stepdaughter are in San Diego. Bowers, an FBI forensic specialist, is asked to assist on a baffling arson case. The case eventually widens to include neuro-scientific weapons, the military, and the usual megalomaniac billionaire. Bowers runs from case to case, tries to maintain peace with his stepdaughter who is still grieving over her mother's loss to cancer, and also keep his feelings in check with his female partner. The story is a fast paced and intelligent read.
