a powerful book merging the ancient wisdom of indigenous shamans to molecular biology...discoveries we are just starting to make on the materialist place catching up with the deeper context of consciousness and the origins of life that plant hallucinogenics have been pointing to for thousands of years. this book reminded me of AACM and Sun Ra and other 1960s free jazz artists who invoked the "ancient future wisdom" of their ancestors, represented by imagery of new technology juxtaposed with old technology...we see our inventions are advanced in one way, while the cosmological view of ancient "technology" is in many ways much more advanced than we are today. this book was pretty mind-blowing and humbling. also appreciated that his choice to write as a personal narrative leads to the greatest of transparency or his intentions and biases.
