really liked it

So I'll fully admit that I often start off reading a self-published very skeptically. In my defense, I've read some truly awful ones. However, I knew enough about D.L.'s writing to have generally high hopes. Brunch At Ruby's was not a let down.

Debra, Maxine and Renee and all of their life goings-on are at turns delightful, hilarious, compelling and maddening. In other words, these characters are well-developed and extremely realistic. In addition, the supporting cast of characters adds another layer to an extremely rich story.

D.L.'s voice is an engaging and she's an incredible writer. I thoroughly enjoyed Brunch At Ruby's and would definitely recommend it.
