really liked it

Gloria Naylor's novel is a fantastic novel that portrays how women are treated in the society of the world. There are six stories that Involve different women in one story about the community in which they live in. Brewster’s Place is a housing industry for women who want to escape from it all whether it’s family, abuse, or any other things that women may face and they want to get away from. The first character that is introduced is Mattie Michael’s; she leaves her parents because she is pregnant and does not want her parents to find out. Her life is miserable she works to take care of a baby, she has long hours and it is difficult enough that she is forced to live in Brewster’s Place. Mattie plans to buy a house after an unfortunate accident involving her baby. Ms. Eva brings her in to her home no charge; she takes care of the baby and Mattie. These remarkable stories show that women can be strong as men physically, mentally, and emotionally. I simply enjoyed this book because it contains great narration and it contains stories that can interest anyone who reads this piece of literature.
