really liked it
bookshelves: fiction
Read from September 09 to 21, 2010

I have yet to be disappointed in a Garcia Marquez book. While the language was not as beautiful as it was in Love in the Time of Cholera, I am going to attribute that to the translation. I was constantly captivated by the Bandia family and their relationship to the town they helped found. The fantastic stories made me long for a world where this would not be magical realism, but real. My toe is dipped in the world of Garcia Marquez, but I plan on plungging in for as long as I can read.
