Given To Me For An Honest Review

When I Grow Up I Want To Be ...a Nurse! by Wigu Publishing is another great When I Grow Up books. I have read several of them already and I just love them all. This teaches children the value of the nurses we have. It also talks about the different types of nurses we have, including male and female. What I like is that it helps to lessen the fears that children have while undergoing medical treatment. The illustrations are bright and bold. Along with the illustrations are real pictures of hospital rooms and staff. The colors are bright and vivid. Amber's first day of playing soccer ends up with her in the emergency room. She is checked in, vitals are taken, she has xrays and comes out with a pink cast on her arm. She learns a lot about nurses and their different jobs. With what she saw and what she talked to the nurses about she decides she wants to be a nurse when she grows up. Your child will be wanting to read and re-read it over and over. I gave this book 5 stars but it really
deserves many, many more. It would make a great gift. It also would look good on your child's bookshelf and any library's bookshelf too. I highly recommend this book to everyone, especially teachers, parents, grandparents, babysitters and the curious minds of children. I wait anxiously for more from Wigu Publishing.
