The Wrath and the Dawn (The Wrath and the Dawn, #1)
Really, really wonderful. I made the mistake of thinking this was a stand-alone novel, and now I'm beyond impatient for the second book. I want more of Shahrzad and her quick thinking, necessary manipulation, and wit. I want more of Khalid and his awful curse and big heart. I want more of the setting, the way it dropped me into such a vivid land that I almost believed I was there. I want more of the romance. Of course I want more of the romance. It was slow building and all sorts of wonderful, and if The Rose and the Dagger is just 416 pages of Shahrzad and Khalid eating dinner together I'd be okay.
