it was amazing
bookshelves: contemporary, m-m, mystery

What I liked most about this book is that it felt a departure from other Lanyon books I've read so far. The characters felt fresher, newer. To be fair, Perry's asthma is in line with the physical ailments that the more effeminate one of Lanyon's couples tend to have, but this time it's played down. Perry is more light hearted and less tortured, and also younger than his counterparts. His love interest, Nick, is butch, but thank god not in the closet. Their romance is surprisingly sweet.

The POV is constantly switching between the two main characters. It's something most authors can't successfully pull off, but here it's so smooth it's barely noticable.
