** spoiler alert ** Broken-Karin Slaughter
Well I have to say, the book was pretty good. It defiantly had an interesting story line, and kept me interested to the point where I couldn’t put the book down. Needless to say, a fast read for me. I liked the police corruption angle thrown in to the murder mystery. I also liked the fact that one of the main characters was not necessarily a “good” person who comes out a hero in the end. My only issue with the book was the second in her “Georgia” series and it heavily relied on the first book. There are some books in series’ that can stand alone regardless if you have ever read a book in the series or in any order, especially in crime novels I’ve noticed. This one you really needed to read the first book, Undone before reading Broken, to get the total picture in regards to characters and their relationships. I defiantly would go back and read Undone. Karin Slaughter has shown she has the ability to write a fun to read, entertaining crime novel!
