really liked it

I requested this because it was on a list I'd made a couple of years ago, and it sounded like YA fantasy (which I was in the mood for after Gang Leader for a Day). When it arrived, it turned out not to be about a sword, but rather to be about a guy who gives up a life of crime and is blackmailed into returning to it when his old partner gets out of prison. Not exactly light and fluffy. So the plan was to power through it and then read something lighter. Well, I did read it really fast, but more because it was awesome than because I wanted it to be over. It was a crime story, yeah, and it wasn't light, but it was definitely gripping and not that much of a downer. I really enjoyed it!
