Deviate (The Light Key Trilogy #2) by Tracy Clark

Deviate (The Light Key Trilogy #2) by Tracy Clarkdeals with Cora, her mother, and Giovanni trying to stay alive since they are on the run from the Arrazi. Cora is devastated over the death of her father but she knows she needs to protect the rest of her family so no harm comes to them.

Cora decides she can’t just do nothing and watch the Arrazi kill innocent people. So with the help of her friends and family, she starts to investigate who and what she is and about the light key.

Finn wants to help Cora as much as he can even if they can’t be together ever. He knows that she will always be his one true love. Cora tries not to think about Finn because it hurts to much but she loves him with all her heart.

In many series, the middle book usually falls flat and is not very important. Fortunately, that is not a problem here. Deviate is full of excitement, some shots of humor and a good dose of sadness and loss.

The book is told from alternating points of view which helps give a better understanding to the story. You definitely get to know the characters better and there are plenty of twists and turns that make you say, "wow".

Deviate is heart wrenching at times but is an absolute must read!
