it was amazing
bookshelves: children-s-picture-book, historical, fiction, adventure

Beautifully written and illustrated children's book about James Banning, who in 1932, was the first African American to make a transcontinental flight. He and his co-pilot encountered mechanical problems, harsh weather, and "something far more dangerous than hot weather and nightfall: Prejudice." Highly recommend for ages 4-7.
