it was amazing
bookshelves: intense-romance

SUCH a wonderful book. So emotional, so true, so realistic. I have no experience with the sort of abuse the heroine endears, so if that character in this type of book is not written well, I tend to be annoyed by her refusal to change her "lot in life." That was not the case with this book. I sympathized with both main characters, and not once did I yell at the heroine (in my head) or want to throw my Kindle at the wall. All I wanted was for both Lilah and Garrett to find their happily ever - together.

This is an emotional read about two individuals who have a great deal to overcome before they can truly be happy. You will enjoy the journey, all the way to the end, and this will be one of those books you will not want to leave when you reach that last page. Well done, Patricia Eddy.
