fascinating, a brilliant read. very layered, and sometimes a little hard to follow who the "I" is, this is a beautiful story of a man trying to piece together the last novel - and the past - of his writer friend who passed away.
i bought this in brooklyn, and the only caveat is - don't expect to find a lot of the city in this book. although it is partly set there, the action takes precedence over the locales.
