it was amazing

Granted, it took me a quarter of the year to finish for some reason, but this is one of the funniest, most clever books I've ever read. Heller has truly impeccable timing. And though there are a handful of touching/heart-breaking/gut-wrenching moments, this is a comedy from start to finish.
And it's a rare thing indeed that a comedy in any medium be recognized so widely and unanimously as a work of great art and social value, but I'm glad this one did. And fifty years later, it is the case-in-point for an argument that no one is having but me.
