really liked it

This was right up my alley so it's not really a shocker that I liked it. The writing was fabulous. Women with such diverse voices yet, similar, shocking life experiences. The hero in this book is writing. It gave these women a voice they never had before. It made them more than incarcerated criminals. It made them human. Their stories are compelling. They offer hope and inspiration. They induce reflection and gratitude. If you've got a strong stomach for reading about violence and abuse this book is worth your time.
