I'm not sure how to rate this or even feel about it. Lamott is a great writer, that's not up for debate. However, I was uncomfortable reading most of it..but not in a 'feeling challenged' way, more in a 'listening to someones therapy session' way. Good insights, but a very dark life to take a peek inside.

I'll no doubt read the followup to this, but with some more realistic hopes for what I'll find.

Mostly it's refreshing to find a Christian writer outside the button down mainstream who isn't afraid to tell life how it is.
