For book 2 of this trilogy, I found myself still interested in the big questions - what is deal with ANA? Is it acting on best behalf of the individuals it is comprised of, or is it stirring the galactic pot for it's own reasons? Will the Void devour the galaxy?

I found myself less interested in the Void/Edeard plot. It felt more and more like the plot of a Dragonball Z episode, where Ed reaches new power levels, defeats the bad dudes, and has sex with all the women. The villains for this plot thread are unmasked toward the end of the book, and I found it to be rather unsurprising. We still have an entire (huge) book to get through and I guess there will still be more of his story to tell, but I can't see how it won't be anticlimactic.

In the 'main' plot, there's not a lot of motion. Pieces are moved to different locations on the board, and two reveals are made, neither of which are surprising. How this gets wrapped up will really determine what my total reaction to the series is.
