Read this one years ago.

I have no idea why I haven’t read any more of Tom Robbins work since this book, but Even Cowgirls Get the Blues was one of the most richly textured works of fiction that I’ve ever read (though Pynchon’s Gravity’s Rainbow definitely takes first prize on that account). A really funny, weird, and intriguing story. And I love Robbins writing style--his tangents might not be for everyone, but I think they are brilliant.
