it was ok

** spoiler alert ** Another ARGH!!! This book continues the story of the main characters in Island Flame, and once again, the "hero" is abusive. He gets it into his head he's been wronged (admittedly he has some evidence, but by now he also has more than enough reason to believe in the heroine, and instead he immediately goes to the worst possible conclusion). He rapes the heroine more than once, deliberately humiliating and hurting her, and while in this one he does have a moment of clarity when he realizes that he's screwed up, instead of trying to make it right, he just goes on a self-indulgent bender and she has to come rescue him. And of course she never does require him to show that he's learned any lessons before she reconciles with him. She just walks right back into a relationship with a man who has proved himself to be abusive again and again. I can't say I rooted for this couple.
