it was ok
bookshelves: urban-fantasy, vampires, paranormal

I tried really really hard to like this book, I started reading it, found it droll, put it down, read some reviews which were really favorable, picked up, found it droll, put it down, probably about 10 times. I finally gave up on it completely. It really seemed more of the same old formula Urban Fantasy/Paranormal. A reluctant snarky heroine who apparently has no fear of the things that she should be at least concerned about, an overbearing "lord" who gives the girl breaks when common sense dictates he shouldn't and a girlfriend of the snarky heroine who finds out she is a witch but all the other witches in the city that she's lived in and walked around HER WHOLE LIFE had no idea she was one, it took a vampire to find it out? I know it's wrong to use the word realistic when describing Urban Fantasy or Paranormal books but that's what was missing for me, things just didn't seem plausible.
