really liked it

I liked the book quite a bit. It reminded me a bit of The Beekeeper's Apprentice in that it was related to Sherlock Holmes and had a female protagonist, but it was not as good as that book. The detective (Sydney Grice) was like the old, old Sherlock Holmes TV shows I've seen where he is rather obnoxious and quite rude. I read some reviews where people found him to be too much, but I wasn't that bothered. The story line was interesting and had enough twists to keep me plodding along. I really enjoyed the March Middleton character, but there were points where I thought here development was a bit abstract. But, overall, it was enjoyable and what I would consider to be a good read.
