I did like this book overall, even though it wasn't what I was expecting and it took me way too long to finish it. It wasn't as much of a travel memoir as I was hoping. I've always been fascinated by Iceland, but more by the landscape and wool heritage and such. She mainly focuses on the modern city life. I did learn a lot but it was mostly aspects of Iceland that I'm not that interested in.

I did really like the elf chapter though and the bit about knitting...
