Babette's Feast

After I discovered that Karen Blixen's books original language is English, and suspicious that some of the translations I have read were making the reading slower and more difficult than it is, I tryed this one in the original language.
How a beautifule experience! I just love this short novel-long tale.
There is no message hidden - at least, I did not see one. Nor I was looking for any. Nor the plot is anything special: actually, a plot barely exists. Don't read this if you are looking for an interesting and maybe thrilling story.
It is a sequence of beautiful impressions, feelings, emotions. That is, art. This is not a book, a tale, it is a piece of art.
Karen Blixen unfiltered. Something to read again when life will bring my spirit low.
