My first real science-fiction novel read by choice. A friend said he wanted to read it because it supposedly highly influenced the movie Bladerunner. I was curious to find out for myself.
I was surprised at the timelessness of it. I half-expected its futuristic world to be a bit silly, but I was impressed. It was fun reading the names of companies that did not turn out to be future technology giants as predicted in the novel. I enjoyed the sophisticated style, but I may have to read it again to absorb it all. Lots of names and details that I didn't pay enough attention to at the beginning.
