According to this book, at the end of World War II, the British government would be afraid to keep a supernatural library that they found in their possession. They would rather hand it over to the United States. Really? Winston Churchill's government, the government that cracked the German Enigma Machine, the government that hosted De Gaulle and the French resistance, the government that created MI6 and the British Commandos? That government would suddenly decide that they couldn't keep a secret as well as the Americans? I don't think so. If Cooper wanted the Americans to have his magic library, why didn't he put it in Italy so that the Americans would have naturally come across it during their occupation? Why stretch my suspension of disbelief beyond the breaking point for no good reason except to throw a silly insult at Great Britain?
