it was amazing

A history of cod fishing, dating back to the middle ages through today. The effect on the Fish and Chips market, the Iceland economy, the ecology, politics, and much more. How Nova Scotia came to be settled; the frozen food industry (and the incredible Clarence Birdseye). Where did the Basque get Bacala before the days of Columbus? The hypothesis is that the Basque fisherman were reaching the Grand Banks off of Nova Scotia maybe 500 years earlier, catching and salting fish that they would take back to Europe. I did the audio version of the book and found it to be interesting and very well presented.
