I really enjoyed this audio book. I was quickly made aware how little I really knew of the Plymouth colony and the events from 1620 with the voyage of the Mayflower through the ugly King Philip’s War of 1675-1676. Wow, what they did not teach us school is amazing. Americans, young and old alike, need to read or listen to this audio book and will learn of a more realistic story on the true “Pilgrims”. This book does not hold back, throw away the turkey and cranberry sauce, and read about what both the colonist and Indians had to endure as our country took shape. Well done to Nathaniel Philbrick for the story and George Guidall for the narration.
