it was amazing
bookshelves: historical-romance, steamy-historical-romance, favorite-hero

I have been reading this series backwards starting with the last one first and working my way up. I don’t think it takes too much out of the series for reading them out of order or at least it didn’t for me.

So far anything I have read by Elizabeth Hoyt has been to my liking, she writes very compelling characters, interesting storylines and extremely sensual love scenes.

Lord Vale has been abandoned by his fiancés twice already and is determined to marry someone, anyone who wouldn’t run away. Melisande has been admiring him for years and decides to propose marriage to him, which he accepts.

I loved Lord Vale’s character, he kept calling her endearments which were so sweet, “my heart”, “my lady wife” and a lot more. Melisande shocked me, I did not expect her to act as she did and couldn’t wait to find out her secret. She is a very passionate lover and the scenes are just sizzling. Lord Vale had his mind blown away by his new bride:)

I will definitely continue reading Ms. Hoyt’s books, they are all so yummy
