I am not sure how I feel about this book. I am sure it is chock full of Symbolism and meaning -- but I am just not in the English Student mode at the moment. So what I am left with is two GREAT characters (Gene and Finny -- I found I cared about what happened to both of them) and many good characters (How can you not care about Leper and Brink??) I think this book may have more meaning now -- with the wars that seem to keep cropping up, and all the youth that find themselves feeling the need to enlist. I worry about them all. Goddess Bless and Watch Over our Troops, where ever they may be today, tomorrow and always.
