What a wonderful memoir from a fascinating woman. Amazing confluence when someone who writes interesting books turns out to be equally interesting herself. I loved all the parallels to my own life in this story, be it travelling, moving a lot, the connection to the Spirit Realm Stephen King, etc.

Parts of this book made me laugh out loud, some parts stopped me in my tracks and I wept, other parts were so evocative I felt like I was literally walking in Ms Tan's shoes.

Brilliant and I highly recommend it.
