Skin Hunger (A Resurrection of Magic, #1)
I was disappointed and bored with this fantasy. The alternating chapters, told by two characters in different time periods (although sharing some characters), was a bit of an irritating device, and I couldn't connect to either of the characters. They both spent all their time obeying other people, it seemed, and had little will or personality of their own. Also, this book is very much a set up book for the next two books of the trilogy, and doesn't stand on its own very well. I won't be seeking out the next two books.
