really liked it
bookshelves: dystopian, ya-lit

A solid addition to the series.
It took me a bit to get re-engaged with the story, but towards the end it had my full attention.
Around the 100 page mark I thought I was gonna give this book 3/5 stars, but after reaching the end and being excited to read the sequel I think it deserves that extra star.

I'm assuming you have read the previous book if you are interested (so, I'm not gonna rehash anything).

Initial Impressions:

-New Deviants (unfortunately none of their back stories or characters are really delved into)

-Kinda predictable. I saw who the villain was a mile away from the big reveal

-The twist on who was a "spy" was kinda weird. I felt like the explanation didn't really make sense to me. Yeah , she explains it away, but I feel like it doesn't fit with what was said. Admittedly, we only see things from Glory's perspective.....

-I get the feeling the next book will be full on revolution! Woot. Lets go.

-A lot more undercover/spy work in this.

-The love triangle thing is boring me.

-After a bit, the pacing picked up and kept the plot moving quickly. Which I really enjoyed.

-I feel Glory's emotion are pretty well done in the book. And her development/practice of her powers makes me think we could get some interesting talents from her. Who knows?
