This book seemed for me to be better because all the character and plot setup already took place and the heart of the story could just take off at this point.

This book has really made me think, what would I do faced with war. The possibility of this happening is not an unlikely possibility...war happens all the time. Could I be just as brave and courageous as these teenagers faced with life and death situations.

While reading it, I also saw a different side of how we "adults" think things should be handled versus a younger point of view. I found myself thinking, "there's nothing wrong with a little bit of order and cleanliness in a campground." But, as you read about Harvey's Heroes and their camp, I was almost embarrassed to be an adult!

Anyhow, the plot has picked up, the action a little more intense, so I'm more excited to delve into this series.
