it was amazing
bookshelves: books-i-own

I loved everything about this book. Well, okay, the ending could have been a little bigger for me, but overall, I read this book with unexpected quickness because I just couldn't put it down. There aren't enough books with main characters with disabilities or disorders and Cammie McGovern gave us two. Amy with her cerebral palsy, Matthew with his OCD (who was especially relatable to me, as I struggle with my own OCD tendencies). She exposed their insecurities, talked about hard topics like having sex with physical and mental limitations and she did it all with grace, in a way that made you feel excited for these friends awkward exploration. This story of friendship turned love left me smiling stupidly and laughing out loud. I don't know how you could read this book and not love Amy and Matthew by the end of it. 40 pages in, I already knew I was giving this book a 5 star rating. Totally worth the read!
