OMG – This book is HOT!! First in the series but also stands alone – no cliffhanger.

Firefighter John Cooper’s partner was recently killed in a fire and John has a severe case of survivor’s guilt. After being chastised at work for his out-of-character mediocre performance, he goes home only to find out that his long-time girlfriend has left and cleaned out his/their apartment.

Some of his friends want to help get him out of his funk so they invite him to join them in a visit to Club LaForge, a BDSM club. There he meets Moira, an experienced BDSM trainer. John is uncomfortable because he is turned on by the performance he watches at the club. His feelings contradict what he was raised to believe – that women are to be respected and never hit (spanked).

Moira senses John’s discomfort but also sees that he’s turned on big time. She’s been searching for her perfect Dom and she thinks John can be that person if she can just convince him there’s nothing wrong about how he feels.

Be sure to read the author’s warning in her description of the book. This is one quick, scorching HOT read; you won’t want to put it down and you won’t want to end. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
