I was interested to see how the authors carried out the whole secret life of dolls bit, particularly in light of the wholeToy Story series. I also wanted to see how the artist interpreted it, so gave this book a quick read. I am sure there are kids who it will appeal to. After all, I'm fairly sure my old stuffed animals and toys probably had (and have) very rich and fulfilling lives out of my view.

All in all there were some charming aspects to the story, particularly the two families of dolls from two different eras, but it didn't capture me quite as I'd hoped. Will put in my box of books for young visitors.
