I haven't read much of Le Guin's work, but I've found this book to be a fantastic fantasy novel. The tone is somehow a perfect story telling voice, bringing to mind bed-time stories and any nostalgic tales from distant lands. Even the workings of her story have seemed to be reused in other fantasy novels and while perhaps they may not even originate here, the story is weaved impeccably. For some reason I just want to read the rest of the series aloud around an open camp fire :)
