really liked it

A revealing representation of life in Lagos, a city I've been fascinated with since encountering Rem Koolhaas's architectural survey of the city. Abani also affords insights into the daily realities of living under a suppressive, military-run government. There are some hilarious African interpretations of American culture, as well as horrific scenes of mob justice and crimes against humanity.
