Good interesting read. While most of us now know the dangers of chemicals, they weren't well known at the time of Carson's writing.

Some of it gets a bit boring and repetitive, however, one should definitely read the last chapter - very interesting alternatives to chemical insecticides. It also contains glorious examples of our government's past ineptitudes.

All in all, a pretty educational read.
