it was amazing
bookshelves: the-top-shelf, shameless-plug-shelf

This is a truly stunning debut--the writing is versatile and evocative, the subject as entrancing as it is horrifying, and the adoption of multiple voices to explore its theme--racial injustice in America--nothing short of masterful. "Mudbound" will keep you reading until the last page, and will linger in your thoughts and conscience long after you put it down.
