Page by Tamora pierce is a second novel in the Protector Of The Small series. I like this one a lot better than the first novel. I suppose a reason is because Kel is becoming closer to an adult and that I feel I can relate more with even though she is only 11. However, she is gone through a lot and I mean a lot. The plot is moving by a faster and now Kel is actually a page not on probation anymore. Page is a good book and I would recommend it to children above the age of twelve and adults who like to read about a strong female protagonist who sticks to her convictions no matter how hard they may be. The training master is actually a decent person he does have some severe prejudicial problems though. My lasting impression from this book is that not all females and books have to be the one being saved. Kel does most of the saving and if she is in trouble, she saves her own butt.
