liked it
bookshelves: young-adult, murder-mayhem-mystery

All in all, this book is pretty improbable, and it's got more than its share of character stereotypes--unconventional teacher, pompous vice-principal, jealous boyfriend, sexy single mom--you get the idea--but there were enough quirky surprises to redeem the weaknesses. Sometimes it got a bit soap-boxy. I liked it, though. Eric "Moby" Calhoune is a likable narrator, and the plot is fast-paced and multi-dimensional.
