did not like it

This book is a true story about Ford trying to create a utopian society in the middle of the Amazon. The entire project was poorly executed for a host of different reasons. While the subject matter was fascinating (the whole concept of this society, it's location and lack of awareness of local culture, environmental issues, etc.), the author did a very poor job telling the story. Each detail was discussed at nauseum, which made the story really, insanely boring for me. It took me forever to get through this book. I would only recommend it to readers who enjoy twisted up history & stories that are never told. But don't look for captivating writing -- it is not here!
