it was ok
bookshelves: humanism-skepticism, religion

Dull writing style saved by occasional witty quotes. The author comes across to me as pompous and arrogant. Oh, and he is preaching to the choir in this case. Mr. Dennett claims he is trying to open up a dialogue with those who might be considered 'believers' in religion. With this book I seriously doubt that any of them will be convinced to listen. A pity in a way since he is making a case for studying religion objectively and is suggesting that it may be the result of evolutionary changes in us. Interesting idea and worth pursuing.
